It took me so long to realize all the things I had
but I just may never know how much I should be glad
Does that mean that I'm longing for something I don't have?
Does that put me at square one being sad I'm not more glad?
It took me so long to realize all the things I had
but I just may never know how much I should be glad
Does that mean that I'm longing for something I don't have?
Does that put me at square one being sad I'm not more glad?

It took me so long to realize all the things I had
but I just may never know how much I should be glad
Does that mean that I'm longing for something I don't have?
Does that put me at square one being sad I'm not more glad?

Did You Miss All The Possibilities?
Did you miss all the possibilities passing you by?
And were you too busy trying not to shamefully cry?
But I'll tell you, there's no use getting too knocked down
because the longer you keep it in
will make it harder to throw out
Well, if it makes you feel much better,
Oh, I would wander far, no one could get her
I was too enamored by the idea of having so much experience
but now it seems too ironic, I wasted my time thinking about it too much
I'm steady, I'm ready to use the tools now laying around me
Can't you see I was working hard?
I worked up my last tears free of charge but those old days have gone away
So, I'll take it, I'll take it, I'll take it, I'll take it, I'll take it all and get my pay
Yeah you can take it, you'll take it, you'll take it, you'll take it, you'll take it all
and get your pay

Just Say It
I could just walk up to you, tap you on your shoulder,
ask you how your day has been, is your office getting colder?
But then I get all tongue tied and walk the other way
When every day's the same and nothing ever changes,
well, I could blame myself or resent the ones around me
but I'm hiding in the bushes and I'm waiting for a green light
Then someone sat next to me, yeah, someone sat next to me, oh
It's not hard to look around the corner, just say it, you've got nothing to lose
it's possible to give yourself too much time, just say it, don't try to think about it
I spend my day to ponder which environment is lively
but, every other answer is never good enough
so I will sit alone and daydream of the possibilities
Then someone sat next to me, oh
It's not hard to look around the corner, , just say it, you've got nothing to lose
it's possible to give yourself too much time, just say it,
don't try to think about it, don't try to think about it

Every Day
Every day you find yourself
sitting all alone in your room
every day you say that you really do not know what to do
So you look outside through the window and think you could join that too
but every time it's the same thing just a different setting
Every other day good advice
doesn't come your way
so you start tossing and turning and hoping
you will save the day
You say "what am I to do to help someone new?
I know somebody will come through
"
but you can't be relying on fixing somebodies sorrow to make you feel like a hero
There are days
when you're going by the rules
and other days
you don't want to be a fool
Now they're jumping through hoops and you're out of the loop
what exactly are you searching for?
I guess the problems a want
when the solution is yours
I guess the problems a want
because you're asking for more

How I Stay Out Of Trouble
Growing up I liked to think that I was the different one,
a number one rule that restricted me from having any kind of fun,
but if I spend too much time thinking about myself,
then I realize I'm just like everyone else
I had to stop myself from getting too ahead,
even though I thought there was a lot to be said
I had to stop myself, it went to my head
even though I thought there was a lot to be said
So many people always wonder how I stay out of trouble
it's a blessing to be younger now I've learned from my mistakes
So, now what is it? Do I just sit and observe?
a blank foundations good as long as no one tracks any dirt
so I'll take what you say and I'll hope that you're right,
but then I'll hide it away, and I'll pull it apart to find who you really are
I think I'm watching you too much,
you're on my left shoulder but I'm your stalker,
now what is there to think?
Maybe I don't really know anything
It would be much more easy if I could get the answer clearly
I read to not be led by the deceitful heart
but when led by the light, I'll know where to start
It would be much more easy if you would communicate much more fairly
but I once read to never look to men
their life will come, then someday end
So many people always wonder how I stay out of trouble
it's a blessing to be younger 'cause I've learned from your mistakes

One Thing
One thing to repeat
look both ways when you cross the street
I said one thing to repeat
look both ways when you cross the street
One way to cross the street
look between the lines so you can see
One way to get better sleep
be sure to always count the sheep
one way to watch your back
find the One who's left then find no lack
there's many faces to recognize
but always know of the ones who are in disguise
I was strolling through the park the other day
and a nice old man told me that he
never took life too seriously
he was six feet tall but he lost two feet in the war
well he later found himself when part of him wasn't
there anymore
and told me all about the world once strolling through
the park became a chore
one way to teach them well
be sure to host a show and tell
one way to learn the truth
hear the advice from the ones who have been failing you
one way to get ahead
never blame the ones who've left you for dead
one way to win a game
understand that we are all the same

Observe Her Ways
Up ahead in the distance, it's so clear
there's not really much that's happening over here
So please don't downplay what's truly free
I see you drowning, you're ignoring the person that you ought to be
This moment was once out in the distance
oh, if only you prepared, you could have rested
You could've given the wise a listen, hearing what you hadn't before then
given the wise a lesson, building on it three times more
But you chose to go your own way, go your own way, go your own way
It may not be a felony to neglect your own destiny
but could you really get by long-term in this world successfully?
And I'm not suggesting a prefrontal lobotomy
but staying with familiarity leads you to no quality
Find an anchor, find a rope, you're sleeping through the drifting boat
find a compass, find a light that sets ablaze the hope at night
find the Captain, find a joke, smile as you learn to cope,
find His comfort through the fight, Did you try to make it right?
As moments pass, when will you learn? It's time to wake up and rise
go to the ant O lazy one, observe her ways and be wise
As moments pass, when will you learn? It's time to wake up and rise
go to the ant O lazy one, observe her ways and be wise
It's never too late to learn, though, the older you get, the more it may hurt
it's never too late to hurt, though, the older you get, the more it may burn
though, the older you get the more it may burn
As moments pass, when will you learn? It's time to open your eyes
go to the ant O lazy one, observe her ways and be wise
It's never too late to learn, though, the older you get, the more it may hurt
it's never too late to hurt, though, the older you get, the more it may burn
though, the older you get, the more it may burn

You'll Find Out
I'd like to know how the river flows
so I'd like to know how the people grow
Are they looking for something? Or am I looking for something in them?
Well I'd like to know, I'd like to know
I'd like to know the one who starts a lie
and the next one to somehow justify
Are they looking for something? Or is there anything even in them?
Well I'd like to know, I'd like to know
Lines are made for fragile ground and moral war
rich with only money, when trees don't bear fruit, they'll make you poor
but you'll find out
it's a mystery now
yes, you'll find out
when you turn around
I'd like to know what hinders them to grow
so I'd like to know how the people sow
are they looking for something? Or am I looking for something in them?
Well, are they looking for something in someone to call them their friend?
Face the Lord in times like these you can't ignore
something old has blossomed into a second door
seasons changing, circumstances rearranging
leaves are falling, unbury the truth and find your calling
But you'll find
it's a mystery now
yes, you'll find out
when you turn around
when you turn around
when you turn around

Higher Window
How much more can one be a part of this world?
I was lost but now I'm found
moving myself round and round
When all things change in just one day,
the naive one becomes the prey
so I'll take the eyes off the back of my head,
and I'll throw them to the Judge instead
He'll line them up in a perfect line and I'll walk the tightrope every time
Thought I was looking out the other window
thought I was looking out the other window
Growing up is hard to do
and getting old's not for the weak
I would like to find out why some refuse to be childlike
Maturity doesn't come with age,
it comes with experience every day
but, no old boy can take my youth, still, no young man can steal this truth
Thought I was looking out the other window
thought I was looking out the other window
Happiness came but joy remains,
I've got a half-filled glass then half-filled again
so I'll grab my suitcase and take no things,
Then I'll drop my suitcase and watch it sink
I'll watch it sink, I'll watch me think, I'll hear me sing I'm back home again
Now I think I see a higher window
now I think I see a higher window
They say "all good things come to an end" but I say I will not stand
for anything, anything that comes against me
all good things come to an end but I say I will not stand for anything
anything that comes against me
that comes against me
They say "all good things come to an end" but I say I will not stand
for anything, anything that comes against me
all good things come to an end, but I say I will not stand for anything
anything that comes against me
that comes against me
